Neuro city plus
A city with room for every sense
NeuroCity Plus designs and evaluates environments – from the sensory room to the street, the building and the park – that calm rather than overwhelm. Especially for people whose senses work differently.
Why a neuro-inclusive city
Noise, bright light, crowds and unpredictability are a daily strain for many people – especially autistic people, people with intellectual or complex disabilities, people living with dementia or mental health difficulties, and older people.
NeuroCity Plus brings together the Snoezelen tradition, the occupational-therapy concept of the sensory diet and modern sensory mapping in one practical method for care institutions, municipalities and communities.
Five focus areas
Sensory rooms
Planning, equipment, safety and evaluation with a 121-point checklist.
City · building · natureSensory maps
Where it is quiet, where it is intense and where to retreat – in the city, in buildings and in nature.
Everyday lifeSensory diet
An individual daily plan in which activities and places fit the person's sensory profile.
IdentityPersonalised content

EvidenceTechnology and research
From observation and measurement to wearable sensors and research platforms.
Always together
Every map, sensory diet or piece of content is created together with an occupational therapist, the care staff and the person or group it is meant for. No decision is made for a person without them.
